1) identification, 2) creation, 3) community

(last few weeks) Creating and polishing several websites for work. Watching Side by Side by Chris Kenneally, especially interested in comments on taking digital manipulation too far and the issues of archiving. From the film, writing a few notebook quotes relevant to my efforts.

DAILY ARTIFACT LOG - GOAL

My artifacts are not stillborn or arrested in early development so much by unresolved planning or structural defects but instead are slowly pinched off by small stoppers and momentum-less days. The creative effort not lost to hemorrhage but leached off by the routine everyday droplets. The late arriving echo audience hardly privy to the daily toil that piles the artifacts for a lifetime before their immediate awareness, appraisal, and acquisition. Deadlines aid the effort but are product-bound and necessarily presume an audience / patron / publisher / distributor / and such.
